Position Summary

The ideal Financial Analyst candidate is an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and a problem solver. This role includes, but is not limited to, performing budget to actual analysis, meeting with stakeholders across the organization, contributing to monthly and quarterly management presentation materials, and conducting ad hoc analysis. This individual works with finance, product development, sales, and ops personnel to drive financial accuracy, accountability, and understanding across the organization.

Functions
  • Play a pivotal role in driving both near-term execution and long-term planning
  • Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins, and create financial models that enable management teams to make strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with team members in preparation of high visibility monthly senior management and quarterly Board of Director presentation decks for both actual and budget results
  • Develop and maintain analytics dashboards for relevant stakeholders with a focus on accuracy, automation, and efficiency
  • Establishing financial processes, and evaluating savings opportunities
  • Supporting senior leadership in Financial Statement Analysis by responding to inquiries on summary financials, assembling detailed analysis of journal entries and vendor detail, and coordinating with various stakeholders to evaluate business trends that impact total company financial performance
  • Reviewing Capital Expenditure plans to validate that proposed expenditures align with total company targets
  • Partnering with the business to determine if savings opportunities exist, preparing RFQs, and leading efforts to negotiate more favorable terms
  • Review, interpret, and explain core drivers of P&L variances against prior year and against budget
  • Conduct market research on industry peers and develop a process for benchmarking
  • Proactively challenging the status quo and investigate issues independently and as a team
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the Adva Med Code, Med Tech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics
  • 0-3 years of relevant Finance experience
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and basic understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred
  • Strong level of intellectual curiosity, ability to digging into details to determine the root cause and find the solution with colleagues
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and interface with various levels of management
  • Self-starter
  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
