Key Responsibilities- Lead operations of laboratory automation systems, including hardware and software components.
- Work with scientific teams to capture requirements and translate needs into reliable automated workflows.
- Oversee system integrations to ensure data flows to laboratory information systems and analytics platforms.
- Manage partnerships and technical delivery to meet timelines and quality expectations.
- Drive intelligent utilization of automation systems and provide practical training and support to end users.
- Maintain documentation and continuous improvement plans to ensure performance, safety and compliance.
We are looking for a Scientific Leader who wants to grow through hands‑on technical leadership and cross‑functional collaboration. This role will require regular on‑site presence at the assigned US site; the exact schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical field.
- 10 or more years of experience in laboratory automation, automation engineering, or related roles.
- Experience delivering automation projects in a laboratory or research environment.
- Experience with industry‑standard automation scheduling software, hardware, and data platforms.
- Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Advanced degree in engineering, computational biology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical solutions to diverse audiences.
- Hands‑on experience with robotics or digital orchestration.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, and experience with APIs or middleware.
- Knowledge of data standards, data integrity principles and laboratory compliance requirements.
- Experience with cloud platforms and data pipeline design.
- Track record of mentoring colleagues and building inclusive, collaborative teams.
