Collegedale Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist PreK–12 school located in Collegedale, Tennessee, is seeking a qualified and mission-driven individual to serve as Controller in the school’s Business Office. The Controller plays a key role in supporting the financial stewardship of the school and assisting in the daily accounting operations that sustain the mission of Adventist education.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Office and the CFO to ensure accurate financial management, provide excellent service to students and families, and contribute to the long‑term operational health of the institution. This position offers meaningful experience in school finance and administration and is well suited for individuals interested in growing professionally within Adventist education. Qualified candidates should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to the mission of Christian education.

• Experience or training in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline required;
  Master’s or certifications preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced skills preferred)
• Ability to learn and manage accounting software systems; familiarity with the Seventh-day Adventist Accounting System (AASI) is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to supervise and mentor the business office and student workers
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, administration, staff, and vendors
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced school environment
• Demonstrated initiative, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality

The successful candidate should also have a collaborative, team‑oriented spirit and professional demeanor. He or she must exhibit fluency in written and spoken English. Most importantly CA requires a candidate to have a personal commitment with Jesus Christ and to the mission of Seventh‑day Adventist education, while also maintaining a membership in good and regular standing with the Seventh‑day Adventist Church.
