This is primarily an outdoor job, and physical in nature. Performing pre-wire and trim out jobs for structured wiring and audio video systems is the main focus. Typical tasks will be wiring new homes under construction, installation of plates/connectors/speakers, installation and documentation of patch panels and distribution panels. You may also work with installation and service technicians in a support role to assist with the completion of installs and service calls.
(The first 90 days of employment to serve as an evaluation period)
- Pre-wire and retro-wire standards and practices
- Equipment interconnection and cable routing
- Basic troubleshooting of simple systems
- Completion of required training program within the first year of employment
Job Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detailed, organized, and multitask driven
- Familiar with desktop and mobile computing
- Clean driving record and background check
