South 40 Veterinary Hospital, a full-service small animal clinic and boarding facility located in the fast-growing south College Station area, is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team.
We provide routine, urgent, and emergency care, including wellness exams, comprehensive medical services, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, surgical and non-surgical treatments, and canine boarding. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality medicine with exceptional client service to our community and surrounding areas.
Position OverviewThe Associate Veterinarian plays a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care while building strong, lasting relationships with clients. This position emphasizes clinical excellence, clear communication, and exceptional customer service. The veterinarian’s interaction with clients is key to creating both first and lasting impressions of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in accordance with the highest standards of veterinary medicine
- Develop and discuss treatment plans with clients, clearly explaining diagnoses, procedures, and recommendations
- Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures as appropriate
- Participate in shared “on-duty,” “on-call,” and “rounds” rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, charts, and patient files
- Respond to client communications and inquiries related to services provided
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education, seminars, conventions, and participation in professional organizations

Qualifications- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Texas veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills
