Research Specialist

Position: Research Specialist I

* Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Four years of related experience in a specialized and relevant field of research.
* A clinical degree (e.g. MD or RN) for basic health knowledge regarding public health risk factors for    health and illness and interventions for ameliorating major public health problems related to chronic diseases and/or substance abuse.
* A research Master’s Degree in related data analytical field (e.g. public health, biostatistics)
* Three years or more related professional experience in clinical or public health research.
* Experience conducting human-subjects research.
* Experience with community-engaged research and evaluation projects.
* Experience developing and utilizing online survey tools and software.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Desire and ability to work collaboratively and help maintain a fun and supportive team environment that is focused on advancing our work to effectively address health disparities for underserved populations.
* Documented experience in manuscript preparation, submission, and acceptance in peer-reviewed journals
* Database design for clinical research and cohort studies
* Programming/coding proficiency in statistical software
