Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant based in College Station, TX. The Physician Assistant will work closely with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and assist during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include evaluating patient conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, providing pre- and postoperative care, and educating patients and their families.

The role requires strong collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality outcomes for patients.

Call duties covering two hospitals with roughly 6-7 days covered per month.

Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Experience or proficiency in neurosurgery-related procedures and the ability to assist in surgeries
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tests interpretation and development of postoperative care plans
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient education and collaboration
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in a similar role or in a hospital setting is helpful, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!
