We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Records Specialist to join our Personal Injury Firm. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation, and sound judgment.
As our Medical Records Specialist , your daily duties will include ordering medical records and bills in affidavit format, filing affidavits for pre-litigation and litigation cases, entering billing charges we well as payment and or adjustments.
What you'll do:- The job will generally entail ordering medical records, billing records, and related duties
- Perform detailed reviews of all records to accurately document all records for injury related information, billing information, and related items
- This position will have some client interaction and will assist with drafting letters, filing and other clerical responsibilities
- Requesting and reviewing medical records and bills from our clients' medical providers in a timely and efficient manner
- Following up on pending records requests with medical providers in a timely manner
- Facilitating and organizing clients' medical records upon receipt and notifying the respective attorney or case manager
- Confirming account balances for clients' medical bills with their medical providers
- Meeting and exceeding time-sensitive deadlines
- Maintain client data in CRM
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience with billing & electronic medical records collection
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with clients, adjusters, and other lawyers/paralegals over the phone and in person
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn different technologies quickly
