We’re looking for a driven Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team part-time in Houston or College Station, Texas, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time salaried position. If you’re skilled in hands-on work in oilfield settings, and are eager to develop your expertise, this is the perfect role to launch your career!

Responsibilities
  • Support the design, modeling, and testing of a unique electrical generator for the oilfield
  • Assist with fieldwork, including equipment inspections, system testing, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project deliverables
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams (mechanical, process, and project engineers)
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Travel regionally (up to 20%) for site visits, commissioning support, or client meetings
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress toward a degree) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Familiarity with industrial, oilfield or chemical production environments (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Montecarlo simulations, MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice or EPLAN Electric P8; preference for experience building electrical models and one lines for industrial or chemical processes
  • Experience designing or integrating Distributed Control Systems, and integrated I&E data transmission systems (brand agnostic)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and U.S. Passport
  • U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)
Bonus Points If You Have
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to fieldwork, commissioning, or operations in industrial settings
  • Knowledge of OSHA or general industrial safety practices. In current possession of a TWIC or willing to get a TWIC
