** The Interfraternity Council Advisor (Student Development Specialist III) is responsible for supporting the advising and administration of programs as part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) team. Serves as the primary advisor for the Interfraternity Council (IFC). FSL provides organizational support, advising, and training to approximately 60 fraternity and sorority organizations at Texas A&M to enhance the leadership development, civic engagement, health, and safety of chapter members.

* ** Salary:** $59,512/year
** Professional Development:*
* * May be eligible for up to $3,200/year of departmental funding for professional development opportunities and conference attendance.

** Additional Details:
** Ability to work nights and periodic weekends as needed including some overnight travel for conferences and retreats.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3 years of student affairs related experience with at least 2 years' experience in student affairs.
* Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field with two years' experience in student affairs work or related specialty area.
* Experience as an advisor to Interfraternity, Panhellenic, Multicultural Greek, or National Pan-Hellenic councils.
* Formal academic or organization advising training or risk management training.
* Significant student group advising, leadership training, and experience in specific areas and duties described in this position description.
* Knowledge of the influence of college student development on student behavior and decision-making.
* Ability to establish collaborations with on-campus academic and student affairs departments, community and inter/national partners.
* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
