Day to day as a Lead RDAAs a Lead RDA, you can expect an engaging and varied day‑to‑day experience. Your primary responsibilities will involve overseeing dental procedures, assisting the dentist during treatments, and ensuring that our patients receive top‑notch care. You will lead a team of dental assistants, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their skills while fostering a collaborative environment. Your schedule will be Monday through Thursday, with the added commitment of working two Fridays each month.
This role provides direct leadership to Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) and Sterilization Technicians
. It coordinates clinical resources and workflows, and serves as the primary liaison between the clinical team, labs, vendors, and office leadership.
The Team Lead is a hands‑on leader who will step in to fill RDA and Sterilization Technician roles when needed to maintain clinical production, efficiency, and patient flow.
Each day will be filled with hands‑on activities, patient consultations, and team meetings to ensure that everyone is aligned with our customer‑centric values. You'll have the opportunity to implement best practices, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to an energetic and professional atmosphere that our patients love.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications- Dental assisting background/ license required
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a dental clinical setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable
- Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to step into clinical roles as needed
- Strong understanding of dental workflows, sterilization protocols, and OSHA standards
To succeed as a Lead RDA, a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities is essential. You should possess strong clinical competencies in dental assisting, including knowledge of various procedures and patient care techniques. Attention to detail is crucial, as you'll be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of treatment and sterilization meet the highest standards. Interpersonal skills are equally important;
you will be interacting with both patients and team members daily. Effective communication, empathy, and a customer‑focused mindset will help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients while fostering a supportive work environment.
