Store Associate

As a Store Associate you will support the manager with all aspects of running a busy store, it's the best of both worlds as you will have responsibilities but also the chance to develop and learn with an experienced store manager by your side. You'll need to be well organised with great communication skills and ready to learn how to lead your team of colleagues in store to maximise sales and profit and meet your stores  return you will work for one of the UK's largest charity retailers with benefits, including full training and development package, promotion prospects, pension and benefits.

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the publicand ensure donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensuring all stock is sorted, priced and steamed before going onto the Store floor.
• Use of Barnardo’s IS systems on a daily basis.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows andthe interior of the shop.
• Actively encourage the public to donate saleable stock.

• Working within retail or service industry with particular regard to customer service and contact, working in a team environment, basicadministration, filing and simple analysis
• Able to take responsibility for your own and team’s development and learning.
• Able to deal with any situation which may give rise to conflict.
