Kyocera AVX Components in Coleraine specialises in the manufacture of ceramic capacitors for the automotive and space sectors. We have been operating in Northern Ireland for over 45 years, and our reputation is built on the quality of our product and service. We have a great team of people working in Coleraine and we are looking for a Production Group Leader to join us.

As Production Group Leader, you’ll lead the area Supervisory team to deliver world‑class results in safety, quality, service, and cost.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and reliability standards — while driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and problem‑solving techniques.

Decision making, planning and people skills are essential to the role to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while investing in your team through strong communication and employee engagement.

• Ensure delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement using structured problem‑solving tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM.
• Actively manage production planning and performance on the shop floor.

• Have at least 3 years’ experience of managing and leading in a manufacturing environment.
• Ideally educated to HND/ Degree standard.
• Proven track record of delivering against targets within cost parameters to demanding quality standard.
• Are proactive, collaborative, and motivated to lead a team to success.
• Ideally have experience applying Lean to drive improvement.
• Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Solid analytical and IT skills.
