Yes, depends on census but typically does not take patients. The charge is typically available to help ER as needed. Nurses Aides:

Rotate in with the permanent staff. Any color scrubs are acceptable as long as they are appropriate and professional. Tele:
Central monitors with tele packs. Do Nurses read strips:
No tech, must read and interpret strips. Could be done by ED nurse RNs be able to titrate drips. This is a low-level ICU and you may have pressors until the patient is transferred out of the facility. More commonly heparin, nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone and insulin. No Vents Hospitalist or Intensivist in house? ER 24/7, hospitalist 7 days a week on call can come back in No IV team, provider that places PICC lines during the day.
Strong IV skills preferred. RT in house? No, nurses do all treatments. Don’t manage vents on inpatient unit. BIPAP, treatments, etc. ER nurse would be a resource. Pharmacist available till 3pm. Tele pharmacy on call. Day pharmacist typically has night meds mixed. Might be required to mix meds if new medication is ordered after hours.

Yes within facility dependent on position and qualifications Orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor Types of Patients: CHF, COPD, pneumonia, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis. Most surgical patients transfer out. They only have a surgeon 2 days a week. This is a very friendly and team oriented facility. You must be willing to have strong team work, and flexibility is a must!
Need to be willing to adjust schedule and work as needed.
