Position: Registered Nurse- Emergency Dept.- Nights (Full Time)

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Nights (Full Time)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The RN reports to the Nurse Manager and ultimately, Chief Nursing Officer.

Essential

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • BLS & ACLS required; PALS preferred.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Current clinical experience preferred.

The position is based at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH), a 16‑bed critical access hospital located in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. UCVH serves 20 communities and an annual service area of approximately 8,500 residents, with the following annual statistics: 4,000 emergency department visits; 325 outpatient surgeries; 300 inpatient admissions; 7,000 imaging studies; and 140,000 laboratory tests.

North Country Healthcare is a non‑profit affiliation of four medical facilities, including UCVH. It employs hundreds of highly‑trained individuals delivering integrated patient care through hospitals, clinics, and home health services.

All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three‑day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. Attendance on all three days is required for onboarding completion.

If Weeks Medical Center is not your designated home base, you will be eligible for travel reimbursement in accordance with the standard travel policy.
