Production Manager, Operations Manager

The Warehouse
Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and engaging team members while ensuring production goals, food safety, quality, and compliance standards are met. This role oversees daily operations, drives continuous improvement, and supports Clemens Food Group’s values through effective team leadership, accountability, and collaboration.
The Supervisor plays a key role in team development, production execution, compliance with regulatory requirements, and cross-functional initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and evaluate daily team member engagement meetings
- Conduct weekly qualification meetings for new team members
- Coach team members on performance, SOPs, KPIs, and key expectations
- Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy
- Coordinate team recognition, celebrations, and engagement activities
- Perform hiring manager responsibilities for non-exempt team members
- Develop and maintain cross-training matrices within the department
- Execute responsibilities aligned with change management plans
- Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to develop and engage team members
- Investigate and resolve team member complaints and workplace issues
- Complete annual team member performance evaluations
- Complete daily operational and safety checklists
- Evaluate and ensure proper daily stretching and safety practices
- Conduct incident investigations as required
- Participate in daily product audits and identify improvement opportunities
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
- Investigate internal and external food safety or quality deviations and implement corrective actions
- Observe production processes to ensure SOPs are established, followed, and continuously improved
- Monitor area KPIs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions
- Execute Product Improvement Requests
- Apply Continuous Improvement tools to identify, improve, and sustain processes
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOP, and Quality Control programs
- Manage job sharing and cross-training to meet production schedules and build workforce depth
- Ensure availability of all operational materials and supplies
- Maintain and track action items and improvement opportunities through completion
- Ensure timely and accurate production reporting to Cost Accounting
- Schedule required training and recertifications (safety, food safety, etc.)
- Submit maintenance work orders as needed
- Review and approve HACCP, SSOP, and Quality Control process records
- Train non-exempt team members on safety compliance
- Review time and attendance records to ensure wage and hour law compliance
- Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings
- Participate in leadership development opportunities
- Review and utilize personal development tools
- Support cross-functional team initiatives and company-wide projects
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance (HACCP, SSOP, GMPs)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to analyze KPIs and implement corrective actions
- Experience using Continuous Improvement tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and production reporting tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on the production floor for extended periods
Compliance with PPE, safety, and food safety requirements
