Plant Controller

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations at the plant level. This role will play a critical part in driving cost efficiency, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.

• Lead and manage all plant accounting activities, including cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Establish, maintain, and regularly update standard costs and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Analyze manufacturing costs and partner with operations to identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate inventory and production variances.
• Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and purchasing teams to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and performance analysis for plant leadership and executive management.
• Develop, manage, and track annual plant budgets, forecasts, and key financial performance metrics.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a manufacturing or plant-based accounting role.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or plant floor environment.
