Pay Grade Range: $19.00 - $28.17 (This is a representation of the position's entire pay grade range. Starting pay is based on an individual's skills, experience, and at the discretion of the hiring team.)

This is a full-time; hourly position

Hours:

Monday - Wednesday: 3:15pm - 3:45am;
Thursday: 3:15pm - 7:30pm; overtime as needed

As the Diamond Saw Operator 2, you'll be responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of various saws.

• Loading and unloading saws with an overhead crane or by hand, based on the size of the slab or stone being cut.
• Reading production tickets to determine work to be completed.
• Reviewing work to ensure it meets production ticket specifications before and after cutting.
• Indexing the saw blades to the correct sizes and dimensions based on the stone being cut.
• Applying patterns and layout stone to utilize raw stone materials best.
• Loading pre‑programmed profiles from the network.
• Performing operator‑level calibration and alignment of the saws.
• Creating cutting and profile programs for all of the saws from shop tickets and network .dxf files using AutoCAD.
• Monitoring the saw during operation to make adjustments and corrections as needed.
• Applying general knowledge of stone tolerances to repair, mill, apply angle and shape cuts, specific tooling, and other detailed work that is required per customer specifications.

• Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis on time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must obtain forklift certification; training and certification provided by Coldspring.
• Must have general computer and math skills.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production.
