A2627-01 Principal - Cold Lake Junior High School
This is a full-time position commencing with the start of the school year. Cold Lake Junior High School is located in the City of Cold Lake with approximately 500 students in grades 7 to 9. Cold Lake Junior High School is an inspiring environment where students are proud to learn, fostering student potential through academic responsibility, critical thinking and moral citizenship.
Our goal is to educate the students and foster responsible and ethical citizens for the future. The division is seeking a dedicated and caring leader who will support and collaboratively work with the school community to create a welcoming learning environment where all students learn and excel.
- Ensure effective educational programming and school activities for students
- Develop and nurture a positive, supportive and inclusive school culture
- Provide effective instructional leadership to school staff
- Work collaboratively with division office staff, the school staff, students and the School Council to achieve the goals of the school and the division
- Effectively manage school operations and resources
- Nurture strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the school community
- Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Possess or eligible to achieve the Alberta Leadership Quality Standards Certificate
- Previous school administration experience is an asset
- The ability to work effectively with diverse student and parent groups
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional improvement
- A strong background in leadership skills and effective instructional practices
