The SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for Veterans and their families seeking housing services. This role conducts comprehensive assessments to determine program eligibility, collects and verifies required documentation, and connects eligible Veteran families with supportive services. For participants who do not meet eligibility criteria, the Intake Coordinator provides referrals to appropriate community resources.
Additionally, the Intake Coordinator provides Rapid Resolution services, assisting Veterans and their families in securing stable housing during housing crises, often by leveraging participants’ existing social networks to prevent homelessness.
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and two years of related experience required. Effective verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills required. Ability with training to use computerized case management applications to enter and track participant information; ability to understand and explain program details and workflow required.
Desirable QualificationsExperiential knowledge as a military veteran and/or with homelessness; training, education, or experience with social services support desirable. Knowledge of the HUD Homeless Management Information System desired.
Anticipated Pay RangeAnticipated Pay Range $50,000-$60,000
