Are you a skilled and compassionate individual looking to provide direct patient care and be supported to grow in your career? Join the Adult Home Health team as a phlebotomist. This position provides phlebotomy services to clients throughout our organization and wherever clients call home, performs International Normalized Ratios (INRs), and collects and transports other specimens to respective labs. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Phlebotomist as we build a career path within our client care model.
We will support obtaining LNA licensure after successfully completing one year of service. Upon successful completion of the LNA training and attainment of licensure, the position will serve a dual role as Phlebotomist/Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) with the primary responsibility of performing venipuncture procedures to collect blood specimens and providing nurse assistant care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
For current phlebotomists who also hold an active LNA license, this dual role opportunity exists and can be explored during the application and interview process.
Responsibilities- Provide phlebotomy services to clients across the organization and in home health settings.
- Perform International Normalized Ratios (INRs).
- Collect and transport blood specimens and other specimens to respective laboratories.
- Assist with the dual role as Phlebotomist/LNA after licensure, including venipuncture and nurse assistant care under RN supervision when applicable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior clinical lab or phlebotomy experience preferred; successful completion of Phlebotomy Course Education required.
- Strong patient care skills and ability to work in home health settings.
