This post is for an occupational therapy assistant, working in our SEND paediatric occupational therapy service.
To assist the qualified Therapists in delivering an excellent Occupational Therapy service for children and young people in community settings including school, college and in their homes.
The post holder will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team
To contribute to the assessment and treatment of children and young people within school, college or home setting .To support the Therapists to deliver treatment plans with children and young people who may have acute, chronic or multiple pathologies, with the aim to reduce the impact of disability on day to day function.
To assist the Therapists in promoting a child or young person's independence within school, college or home setting.

Person Specification Experience- GCSE level education or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health/social care setting
- Relevant experience in health/social care setting or equivalent
- Previous experience at Therapy Assistant or equivalent level
