We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Skilled Engineer with previous experience and knowledge of PCV/HGV vehicles to join our busy depot in Colchester. For helping keepour fleet on the road, you'll earn a good salary and great benefits (see below).

We'll also provide your overalls and the basic tools and equipment needed to be successful inyour role. This is a great opportunity to work on our state-of-the-art electric vehicles, and add some new skills to your repertoire!

As a Skilled Engineer at our Colchester depot, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, servicing, and replacing parts as needed
• Identifying issues accurately and recommending the correct method of repair and parts required
• Performing routine inspections and servicing using handheld data capture devices (where applicable)
• Attending roadside breakdowns and supporting vehicle recoveries
• Road-testing vehicles to confirm issues or check work after repairs

Location: Colchester

Working Hours: 39 hours per week - 4 days over 7 - rotating pattern of early and late shifts 06:00-16:00 and 14:30-00:30

Hourly Rate: £23.69 per hour £48,043 per annum with a weekend premium rate of £24.72 per hour if your shifts run over a weekend

• Do you have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification as a mechanic and experience working on HGV,bus or coach?
• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
• Do you have a valid UK driver's licence?
• Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
• Do you have vehicle/autoelectrical experience/knowledge?
