Driver/Operator role at Balfour Beatty plc

Driver/Operator to join our rail team based in Colchester.

• Operate and maintain a range of On-Track Machinery (OTM) on behalf of our customer.

• Prior experience operating on-track plant, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to carry out minor maintenance and repairs.
• A proactive and positive attitude within a dedicated team working on high-profile contracts.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, bank holidays, and adapt to short-notice changes.
• Strong appreciation for customer service and relationship building.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Comfortable using computers and basic digital tools.
• Awareness of railway health and safety standards, especially those related to train operations.
