Operations Manager
Overview
Sisk have secured another National Highways framework and are looking for a Lean Manager to join the business. We are looking for a Business Improvement Specialist to support continuous improvement projects across Major Projects and Highways. This role involves analyzing work practices for enhancements, managing audits, and fostering team performance. The ideal candidate should have a degree or significant experience in a relevant field and Lean Six Sigma qualifications.

- Promoting the Sisk’s Lean Strategy and become a champion for its success
- Promoting behaviours and acting as a change agent for Lean
- Acting as a main point of contact for National Highways Lean team
- Shaping culture and behaviours through practical intervention at all levels
- Identifying improvement projects that will drive consistency in approach (PMO)
- Helping the business make informed decisions through robust reporting
- Supporting investigations of major and/or complex quality issues
- Supporting work winning activities to advise on quality submissions
- Supporting delivery of training, briefings and workshops as required
- Being a trusted advisor to the BU
Strategic development opportunities
- Shaping the Business Management Lean Systems of the future
- Improving margin through error reduction and greater consistency of delivery
- Reducing Cost of Quality through continual improvement and lessons learned
This role relies on operational engagement to improve compliance whilst at the same time supporting specific project and BU requirements. The most critical aspect of this role is consistency of approach, maintenance of high standards and delivery of outcome
This role commands respect an is centered around trust, operational credibility and the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
Key technical skills-
- Robust knowledge of all aspects of the Quality Management System, including “Our Quality DNA” and “Quality Risks (Q10’s)”
- Robust knowledge of all aspects of Quality Standards and Specifications
- Robust knowledge of workmanship standards, buildability and construction detailing
- Robust knowledge of developing and delivering change programmes, including at
- a behavioral level
- Highly experienced in Construction and Civil
- Engineering (as appropriate)
- Strong understanding of governance processes
- Lean Six Sigma Training
Key management requirements-
- Ability to support/manage
- Ability to coach/lead excellence in our teams
- Ability to self-manage programme deliverables
Key IT requirements-
- Ability to use Sisk platforms such as Eco Online, SharePoint, Power
BI and Office 365 Suite - Strong computer literacy
