FM Supervisor Band 3 - £24,937 - £26,598 per annum pro rata (£12.75 to £13.60 per hour)
This post will include Unsocial Hours Payments as follows:
- Saturday – Time plus 35% of the salary
- Sunday – Time plus 69% of the salary
- 23 hours per week – See below for rota
- St. Aubyn Centre, Colchester

You will be working a 2‑week shift pattern –
- Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 15:00–19:00
- Saturday & Sunday, 07:00–13:30 (including a 30 min unpaid break) & 15:00–19:00
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day co‑supervision of the FM services and will be the customers' point of contact for any FM related issues, using a trust vehicle (you must hold a valid UK full driving licence). The FM services comprise of cleaning, catering, portering, goods receiving, linen and laundry management. You will support the management of all the FM Assistants.

Main duties of the jobEnsure that all areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic level for patients, trust staff and visitors in line with the current National Standards of Cleanliness. Ensure compliance with legislation relating to both Food Safety and Health and Safety. Deal efficiently with any complaints/issues, report remedial action to the FM Supervisor and Facilities Officer.
As part of the Facilities Team you are expected to have a flexible approach, excellent interpersonal and customer skills, and the ability to use initiative to prioritise and organise your duties.
The Estates & Facilities Department is responsible for delivering high quality and cost‑effective services across Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Domestic Service including Rapid Response (CAT)
Ensure wards/areas are cleaned in accordance with the work schedule. Tasks include vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, dusting, polishing, wiping mirrors, chairs, bed frames, bins, cleaning toilets, sinks, baths, showers, kitchen equipment, defrosting fridges, restocking consumables, descaling taps, replacing bin liners, etc. Coordinate with supervisor when schedules are reviewed, report problems affecting cleaning effectiveness, use correct colour‑coded mops and cleans, use chemicals appropriately, report equipment faults, store cleaning materials securely, dispose waste properly.
