Are you looking for a fast‑paced role where you can make a real impact? Spicerhaart, the largest Independent Estate Agent in the UK, has an exciting opening for an Assembly & Fulfilment Operative at our unique in‑house print facility at Severalls Business Park, Colchester.

Purpose of the Assembly & Fulfilment Operative

To ensure orders are assembled, processed, and shipped accurately and on time in a fast‑paced daily shipping environment.

This involves assembling multiple documents into file folders and boxes, picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining accurate inventory and records. Responsibilities may also include using IT systems for labelling and shipping and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

What a normal day looks like
  • Order Fulfilment
    • Picking and packing items according to customer orders.
  • Dispatch Preparation
    • Assembling and preparing orders for shipment, including creating labels and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting with stock takes.
  • Manual Handling
    • Extended periods on feet, manually handling parcels or using onsite equipment as needed.
  • Operating Systems
    • Using IT systems for order processing, labelling, and tracking shipments.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensuring all items are in good condition and packed securely.
  • Adhering to Procedures
    • Following company guidelines and safety protocols.
What you need to succeed
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced assembly line working environment.
  • Strong organisational skills – effectively manage your workload.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks when under pressure to meet shipping timescales.
  • Excellent team‑working skills.

To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:

  • Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006)
  • Evidence of right to work in the UK (Passport, Birth Certificate).

We will also need:

  • Proof of address
  • National Insurance number
