Vacancy at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Physiotherapy new Graduates
We have a vacancy in our Band 5 rotational scheme across Colchester Hospital and North East Essex Community Services.

The posts are full time – 37.5 hours per week. Weekend working and participation in the respiratory on‑call rota would also be expected once competencies are achieved.
Our therapy teams are well established and enthusiastic about delivering high quality services. We have regular in‑service training sessions, clinical supervision and opportunities to get involved with Quality Improvement projects. We run a preceptorship programme for all newly qualified Band 5 therapists. You will be fully supported by senior staff and the Therapy Professional Leads.
Interviews for this position are always held in person, and involve various interview stations and group work.
Requirements- HCPC registration

Key responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and ensure understanding of the condition. Use communication skills of persuasion, motivation, explanation and gaining consent with a wide variety of patients, managing barriers such as loss of hearing, altered perception, expressive and receptive dysphasia, pain, fear, and patients who lack capacity to consent.
- Delegate to and supervise the work of physiotherapy/therapy assistants and assistant practitioners.
- Provide advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy and to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, liaising with senior physiotherapy staff.
