Overview

EPUT is seeking to appoint two compassionate and dedicated Specialty Doctor Adult Community, CRS & Mental Health Liaison to join our dynamic mental health team at the Lakes, Colchester. There are two vacancies available to apply. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced consultants in delivering high quality psychiatric care across community in the North East Essex area.

The post-holder is required to work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians offering Mental Health Services. Work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians, and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering great mental health services that deliver a 7-day-a-week, 24 hours a day service for 365 days a year.

On-call context and general duties are to be conducted in alignment with Trust values and the GMC’s Good Medical Practice and Nolan Principles (1995). SAS doctors are required to seek the agreement of the Trust through the Clinical Director for roles and responsibilities which fall under this category. All duties will be acknowledged through the job planning process.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct out-patient assessment and reviews for patients in the patch.
  • Attend MDT meetings twice weekly.
  • Attend Allocations meetings as required.
  • Carry out home visits.
  • Attend to urgent clinical issues for patients.
  • Administrative work related to these activities.
  • Supervise and support Trainee Doctors if appropriate.
  • Work closely with primary care nurses (PCN workers).
  • Work with Multidisciplinary team.
