Sensory Support Worker; Bank

Overview

Sound & Vision (Sensory) CIC is looking for passionate and motivated people to join our Sensory Support team.

We are especially interested in welcoming Sensory Support Workers to support our Sighted Guide service. We currently have 18 hours available in the Colchester area.

This is a varied role which requires no previous experience as training will be provided. A Sensory Support worker will work within the following services offered by Sound & Vision (Sensory) CIC.

Communicator Guides work with and support deafblind individuals to access their community for events and activities, shopping, health appointments and much more.

Sighted Guides support visually impaired people to lead their daily lives by providing mobility support (guiding). This support may be within the home, accessing events and activities within the community, or possibly medical appointments.

£12.82–£17.00 per hour (specifics to be agreed based on experience, skills, and service)

This is a Bank Contract role, however work is regular with frequent opportunities to increase.

• Full Driving Licence and use of a car essential.
• Training is available.
• This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.
