Live-in Support Worker

Forest Homecare is recruiting a Live-in Support Worker to support clients with learning disabilities in Colchester, Essex. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided.

You will be a Live-in Carer providing high-quality care and support to adults in their own homes, promoting choice and independence with respect and dignity. You will support individuals with a wide range of activities including access to vocational, educational, and social activities. You will assist with medication, home-related tasks, general day-to-day activities, house hygiene, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and cleaning the bathroom & kitchen.

You may also provide assistance with personal care, shopping, laundry, and essential errands.

• Support Service Users with medication and medication administration.
• Assist with general housework – vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and cleaning bathrooms & kitchens.
• Promote choice and independence, respecting dignity and personal care needs.
• Participate in vocational, educational, and social activities.
• Keep the Service User’s home hygienically clean and organised.

• Good listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and honest with a naturally caring and compassionate nature.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
• No previous experience required – we provide full training (preferred: experience working with people with mental health or learning disabilities).
