A core responsibility will be to design, coordinate, implement, and oversee a robust educational framework. This will include clinical supervision, teaching, and structured support for staff transitioning from training into qualified practice and beyond.
You will bring extensive clinical expertise in the management of both minor injuries and illnesses, including advanced skills such as fracture manipulation.
In addition to their educational responsibilities, you will continue to practice as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, working with a high level of autonomy and complex decision-making. You will demonstrate excellence across the four pillars of advanced practice:
Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, and Research.
- Design, coordinate, implement, and oversee a robust educational framework, including clinical supervision, teaching, and structured support for staff transitioning from training into qualified practice.
- Bring extensive clinical expertise in the management of both minor injuries and illnesses, including advanced skills such as fracture manipulation.
- Continue to practice as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, working with a high level of autonomy and complex decision-making.
- Lead the education and training of all non-medical staff within the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), while also supporting the development of GP trainees.
- Ensure that all staff are clinically competent and confident in meeting the evolving demands of the service.
- Visit other sites as required while primarily based in Colchester.
- Experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) with extensive knowledge of Urgent Treatment Centres.
- Proficient in both minor illness and minor injury.
- Advanced clinical practice, leadership, and management experience.
