Veterinary Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Veterinary receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience working in a veterinary environment to join our team.

Our ideal person is someone with good customer service skills, as they will be the first point of contact with our clients.

The position is very varied, therefore we require someone who works well under pressure, has great organisation and time management skills.

• Greeting customers
• Answering telephones
• Taking payments
• Updating records
• Dealing with emails/reports
• Keeping up to date with our Pet health Club sign‑ups, cancellations, and yearly renewals
• Scheduling shifts and diary amendments
• Maintaining the reception area

Paws is a small and friendly first opinion practice based in Colchester. The practice is located very close to the town centre and is just a short drive to Mersea Island. We are a kind and caring team who pride ourselves on excellent patient care. We work very well as a team and support each other where needed.

We have everything we need to be an independent first opinion practice and will always consider investment in new equipment and further education to support future development of our staff and business.

Your shift pattern entails working 30 hours per week; 8:15 am - 4:15 pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm Wednesday and 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm Thursday. You will also be required to work 1:3 Saturday mornings, 8:30 am - 12:30 am.
