Management Accountant

Role Overview

Care UK is an award‑winning private care company with over 160 care homes across the United Kingdom. We are seeking an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our vibrant and dedicated team. • Provide regular reporting to influence performance and efficient cost control across the business, including benchmarking of care homes and service types.
• Prepare regular reporting and monthly management accounts and support analysis to key stakeholders.
• Ensure statistical data and KPIs are accurately reported.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly and deal with any required actions promptly.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment and review compliance of key controls for the balance sheet account to SOX standards.
• Assist with SOX testing of internal controls to ensure a robust control environment.
• Actively improve processes and practices and monitor compliance.
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities through general interactions with operations.
• Business partner operations teams to gain knowledge and feedback on key spend lines on the P&L.
• Involve in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the activities of the Financial Controller, Director of Finance and CFO.

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA part‑qualified.
• Previous experience of management accounts preparation including accrual calculations, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting adjustments to tight deadline.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand a task as well as perform it.
