This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Auto Cad Technician based in Colchester. The technician will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, construction drawings, and layouts in AutoCAD, ensuring precision and accuracy. Responsibilities include collaboration with engineers and surveyors, interpreting project requirements, and creating structural design solutions. The role also involves liaising with team members to ensure timely project completion and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

• Proficiency in Technical Drawing and preparing detailed Construction Drawings
• Work experience in the UK is essential
• Strong skills in Drawing and layout creation using modern drafting tools such as AutoCAD
• Excellent Communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
• Good understanding of structural design principles and building codes
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects
• Relevant technical certifications or a diploma in engineering or drafting is desirable
• Previous experience in civil or structural engineering projects would be an advantage
