As part of the Survey Solutions Group, Surva Tec is hiring for a CAD Technician to join the team in Essex. Utilising the very latest technologies, equipment and our site engineers' experience and knowledge, Surva Tec Limited approach's every project with the aim to deliver the most accurate of results. Responsibilities- Working closely with surveyors and survey managers to gain knowledge to be able to deliver a high quality product
- Liaise regularly with surveyors to understand and gain knowledge of the site that was visited to help assist with the high standard of drawings to be issued
- Work with team members to enhance your knowledge of CAD and processing software, along with site surveyors and existing CAD Operatives
- Supporting other offices to meet deadlines when required
- Communicating via email with surveyors from different offices to support with tasks when required
- Document processes and Standard Operating Procedures associated with various software applications
- Capable of completing work to a high standard and to a given deadline
- Good IT and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with staff at all levels
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Ability to visualise 3D models
- Right to work in the UK
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C / Grade 4 or above
- A qualification from a relevant undergraduate, Masters or postgraduate degree (e.g. Civil Engineering, Geomatics Surveying, Geography, Geospatial & Mapping Sciences, Land & Hydrographic Surveying)
- Working towards or achieved Graduate, Technical or Full membership of Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors
- City & Guilds Certificate in Computer Aided Design Parametric Modelling Levels 1-3 (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds Certificate in 2D Computer Aided Design Level 2 and Level 3 (or equivalent)
