Commercial Gas Engineer - Steam & Industrial Boilers

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle

Prime Appointments are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established industrial boiler specialist covering sites nationwide.

This is a permanent, full-time position suited to an engineer with strong experience working on steam boilers, hot water plant rooms and commercial gas systems. The role offers excellent earning potential, long-term stability and technically varied work across industrial environments.

The Role:

• Service, maintain and repair industrial steam and hot water boilers
• Fault finding on burners, controls and associated plant equipment
• Installation and commissioning of steam and hot water systems
• Planned preventative maintenance and annual boiler inspections
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
• Completing service reports, commissioning documentation and timesheets
• Participating in an on-call rota

This is a mobile role. When not on customer sites, engineers return to the head office in North Essex.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on industrial steam and hot water boilers
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Commercial Gas qualification (minimum COCN1)
• Experience with burners, controls and ancillary plant
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently

Desirable:

• 17th Edition electrical qualification
• LPG, Gas Boosters, TCP1, TCP1A
