About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed Science Teacher to join our dedicated secondary teaching team. The successful candidate will inspire students, foster a deep understanding of mathematics, and help learners build confidence in their problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and 5 if applicable)
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum
Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative methods
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support academic development
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities
Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
Essential

Qualifications & Skills

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Science or a closely related field
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogical best practice
Ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying abilities
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom-management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Desirable Attributes

Experience teaching Science at GCSE and/or A-Level
Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities
A reflective practitioner with a passion for continuous improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
