Be the teacher who inspires confidence in every student.

Randstad Eduation is looking for a resilient, creative, and nurturing SEN Teacher to join a dedicated team in Colchester. This isn't just a "filling a gap" role; it's an opportunity to lead a classroom where every small milestone is a massive victory.

Whether you are an experienced SEN practitioner or a Mainstream Teacher with a heart for inclusion and a desire to transition into specialist provision, we want to hear from you.

Position: SEN Teacher

Location: Colchester, Essex

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term

Start Date: Immediate / Next Term

Pay: £180 - £220 per day (Dependent on experience)

Are you ready to adapt your skills for students aged 3 to 19?

Can you turn a lesson into a sensory experience?

If yes, then this is the best opportunity to make a difference.

The Role

Working in a specialist setting in the historic heart of Colchester, you will be responsible for:

  • Personalising Progress: Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons for pupils with diverse needs (including ASD, SEMH, and SLD).

  • Empowering Independence: Using creative resources and sensory strategies to help students navigate the curriculum and the world around them.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Leading a team of LSAs to create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment.

  • Holistic Support: Working closely with parents, therapists, and the SENCO to ensure EHCP targets are not just met, but exceeded.

What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A "can-do" attitude-someone who can adapt when a lesson doesn't go to plan and find a new way to engage.

  • Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and experience with de-escalation techniques (e.g., Team Teach or Step On) is a bonus.

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in the Colchester community.

Why This Role?
  • Top-Tier Pay: A competitive daily rate of £180-£220
, reflecting your expertise and the importance of the role.

  • Supportive Environment: Join a school known for its "open door" leadership and focus on staff well-being.

  • Professional Growth: Access to specialist training in PECS, Makaton, and sensory processing.

  • Local Impact: Work in a town with a rich history and a vibrant educational community.
