Protocol Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in Colchester to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a long-term position until Easter
, with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The RoleFull responsibility for a Year 1 class
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils with early phonics, literacy, and numeracy
Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in KS1
, ideally Year 1Confident with phonics and early learning strategies
Committed, reliable, and passionate about children’s progress
Open to a role that could develop into a permanent position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
