Overview
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Midday Meals Assistant (MDA) to join our supportive and collaborative team. You will create a purposeful and inclusive learning environment at lunchtime, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at all times and promoting positive mealtime manners and healthy eating.
This is a part-time fixed-term contract until 21 July 2026, with 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:00 to 1:30 pm. Position start date:
Immediate.
- Demonstrate calm, caring approaches during mealtimes and support children with eating and meal-time routines.
- Promote inclusive play, safety, wellbeing, and positive social interactions during lunchtimes.
- Encourage healthy eating and contribute to a safe, sociable, and happy lunchtime environment.
- Communicate effectively with children and colleagues, building positive relationships.
- Support the learning environment by working as part of a team and upholding high standards of service and hygiene.
- A great communicator who develops positive relationships with young children.
- Enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
- Passionate, resourceful and creative about children learning through play and physical activities.
- Able to promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Committed to achieving high standards of service and hygiene.
