A welcoming primary school in Colchester is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis
, supporting a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD
.

This 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role involves providing consistent, tailored support to help the pupil remain engaged, regulated, and confident in their learning throughout the school day.

The role of 1:1 Learning Support Assistant includes:

• Providing focused 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD
• Supporting learning, attention, and emotional regulation within the classroom
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow EHCP targets
• Helping the pupil manage transitions, routines, and expectations

The school is looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant who is patient, calm, and confident supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly in upper KS2.

• Have experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD
• Be reliable, consistent, and able to build strong relationships
• Have previous experience as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
  , Teaching Assistant, or SEN support staff
