About the role
Are you a passionate, creative, and dedicated educator looking to make a real difference in the lives of autistic young people? We are seeking an exceptional SEND Teacher to join our specialist provision supporting pupils aged 3–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition and a range of additional needs.
About the RoleYou will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each learner. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will plan and deliver personalised learning programmes that promote independence, communication, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with autism and complex needs
- Develop personalised learning plans that reflect each pupil’s EHCP outcomes
- Use a range of specialist approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, sensory integration) to support engagement
- Work collaboratively with therapists, behaviour specialists, and support staff
- Foster strong relationships with families and contribute to annual reviews
- Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as required
- A qualified teacher (QTS / QTLS), ECTs welcome to apply
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferably autism)
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
- Strong behaviour-support and communication skills
- A commitment to inclusive practice and child-centred learning
- Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for SEND education
