Working Hours: 40 hours per week, including home and away matchdays, evenings and weekends

About the RoleColchester United Football Club is seeking a creative and commercially aware Multimedia & Digital Content Lead to drive the production of high-quality visual and multimedia content across all club platforms.
Working under the direction of the Head of Media and senior leadership, this role will be responsible for continuing to build a strong and positive connection between the club, it’s partners, sponsors and supporters through social media and content.
The successful candidate will deliver the full suite of digital visuals, artwork and multimedia assets that define the club’s identity across social media, website, matchday screens, broadcast platforms and commercial campaigns.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the digital presence of a professional football club, elevating brand standards and delivering sponsor activation content.
Key Responsibilities Creative Campaign Planning & Content Production- Lead the development and execution of creative digital campaigns across the season (kit launches, ticket campaigns, player announcements, commercial activations and events).
- Capture high-quality photography, videography and multimedia content during training sessions, matches, community events and club activities.
- Produce the full suite of matchday graphics, player content, promotional artwork, digital advertising and campaign visuals.
- Edit and enhance content using industry-standard software to deliver professional, visually compelling output.
- Develop motion graphics, animations and dynamic visual elements to support digital storytelling.
- Create and publish engaging multimedia content across the club’s social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok and Linked In.
- Planning and delivering structured content calendars aligned to marketing and commercial objectives.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools and provide monthly digital reporting to the Commercial Team, including sponsor exposure summaries and engagement metrics.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, platforms and best practice to ensure the club remains progressive in its digital approach.
- Deliver high-quality digital assets as part of sponsor packages, ensuring contractual obligations are met creatively and professionally.
- Work closely with the Commercial Team to produce bespoke sponsor-led content and activation campaigns.
- Support commercial proposals with creative mock-ups and digital concepts.
- Manage and schedule matchday big screen content and commercial advertising.
- Act as a guardian of the club’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms and outputs.
- Maintain and evolve brand templates, typography standards and creative assets.
Ensure all published content reflects the professionalism and ambition of Colchester United Football Club.
Matchday & Broadcast Support- Capture and post content throughout home and away matchdays
- Set the scene pre-and post-match across all platforms with photography and video content
- Deliver live updates during games across social platforms including live running commentary on X
- Produce and post lineup graphics, goal updates, results and key moments throughout the day
- Capture, edit and deliver post-match interviews
- Continually look for innovative ways to tell the matchday story and drive engagement
- Proven experience in multimedia content creation within a professional environment.
- Strong graphic design capability with a portfolio demonstrating brand-led creative work.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent software.
- Experience in photography and videography.
- Understanding of social media platforms, scheduling tools and digital analytics.
