Hometextile Marketing Merchandiser

Position: Hometextile based Marketing Merchandiser
Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented  Marketing Merchandiser  with strong experience in  export merchandising ,  woven home textiles ,  design coordination , and  product development . This role is critical in managing international buyer accounts, overseeing the product lifecycle from sampling to shipment, and ensuring that the design and development align with global market trends and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the key point of contact for overseas clients (USA, Europe, Middle East, etc.).
Understand buyer requirements, seasonal calendars, and specifications.
Handle costing, pricing negotiations, and approvals.
Regularly update buyers on sampling status, production progress, and shipment timelines.
Collaborate with the in-house design and sampling teams to create new collections based on international trends and buyer briefs.
Develop and present mood boards, fabric swatches, CADs, and proto samples.
Monitor development timelines and coordinate revisions or adaptations as required by buyers.
Research global home textile trends, colors, patterns, materials, and product innovations.
Visit international trade fairs virtually or physically (e.g., Heimtextile).
Benchmark competitors and suggest product ideas accordingly.
Prepare product specs, packaging instructions, and buyer compliance documentation.
Work closely with the export documentation and logistics team for smooth shipments.
Ensure compliance with international standards and certifications (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, etc.).

Key Skills &

Competencies:

Strong knowledge of  woven home textiles  (bedding, curtains, cushions, table linen, etc.).
Deep understanding of  export merchandising workflows and buyer requirements .
Good eye for  design trends, color matching, and product aesthetics .
Familiarity with textile production processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for buyer interaction.
Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
4-10 years of experience is required.
Candidates must be from Textile based experience.
Preferably from South India.
