Assistant Professor - Mental Health Nursing

Provide high quality instruction (didactic, experiential, simulation, etc.) and interprofessional learning experiences by incorporating the latest research, knowledge, and theory into all instruction.
Update course content, courses, and curriculum according to the CON policies and procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to advance the education, research and service mission of the College and University.
Maintain current knowledge and competence in area of expertise.
Contribute to the development of curriculum, teaching materials, and evaluation at all levels.
Seek new and better devices, techniques, online technologies, procedures, and methods to improve the teaching and learning process.
Recognize individual needs of students and provide challenging learning opportunities for all learners while maintaining a supportive learning environment.
Provide academic/career advisement and encouragement to students through formal and informal conferences.
Design, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based teaching strategies to supplement and improve instruction and ensure student outcomes.
Assign grades that reflect student achievement and progress.
Provide timely and appropriate feedback to students.
Develop continuing education opportunities.
Remain active in their fields of study through research.
Contribute to ones science through dissemination; articles, books, presentation of findings, and in other ways.
Seek intramural and extramural funding to advance ones research.
