English Language Coordinator

Bridgewoods International School is seeking an experienced and passionate  English Language Coordinator  in  Coimbatore  to lead, strengthen, and align English language teaching across the school. This is a senior academic role suited for an educator with deep subject expertise, strong mentoring ability, and a clear vision for language development.

Role Overview
The English Language Coordinator will oversee curriculum planning, instructional quality, teacher development, and assessment practices related to English across grade levels. The role requires close collaboration with school leadership and faculty to ensure consistency, rigour, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the English curriculum across the school
Ensure alignment with curriculum frameworks and school vision
Support and mentor English teachers through observation, feedback, and training
Design and review lesson plans, assessments, and learning outcomes
Monitor student progress in language acquisition and literacy skills
Drive initiatives to improve reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking
Support interdisciplinary integration and school-wide literacy programs
Communicate effectively with parents and academic leadership when required
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum  7+ years of teaching experience  in English and must be in Coimbatore
Prior experience as a  Coordinator / HOD / Academic Lead  preferred
Strong command of English language, pedagogy, and assessment
Proven experience in teacher mentoring and curriculum leadership
Ability to balance academic rigour with student engagement
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
