Product Industry Specialist – Transport (SME)

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing products and solutions in the M2M connectivity domain focusing on the Transport vertical sector including fleet and asset management for business customers. This role includes end‑to‑end product creation and support for industry customers, go‑to‑market activities such as market analysis for the M2M product portfolio, product positioning in various verticals, business development for new M2M models, pricing, planning, sales channels, processes, and support systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering – Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer pain points and connectivity requirements, and analyze business and operational needs to identify opportunities in the transport sector (fleet management, telematics, track & trace, logistics).
  • Solution Development – Work closely with vendors and device manufacturers to create tailored transport solutions that integrate with customers’ existing IT ecosystems. Lead multi‑governmental public transport initiatives, connected devices, preventive maintenance and route optimization projects.
  • Customer Alignment – Lead customer engagements to finalize solution architectures, provide technical guidance and address integration challenges.
  • Technical Presentations & Proposals – Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and technical proposals that communicate value and feasibility of existing utility solutions, including infrastructure requirements and upgrade documentation.
  • Vendor Management – Maintain relationships with vendors, source appropriate devices and platforms, and participate in RFP processes to ensure competitive pricing and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Collaboration with Sales Teams – Support sales throughout the cycle by providing technical insights, assisting in deal closures and addressing customer concerns.
  • Market Insights – Monitor industrial trends in the transport sector, understand regulatory frameworks and upcoming policies.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing – Deliver technical training to sales and pre‑sales teams and share best practices to enhance their ability to sell end‑to‑end smart utilities connectivity solutions.
Qualifications
  • Post‑Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology or related fields.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in pre‑sales, solution design and customer engagement within telecommunications and industry vertical integration.
  • Strong knowledge of M2M, IoT and transport industry solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
