Accounting Assistant

McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central Regions, has an opening for an Accounting Assistant.

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for performing accounting and administrative functions to ensure consistency in reporting and compliance with accounting principles.

• Creating and entering journal entries for the monthly financial close process
• Assisting staff account in daily tasks.
• File State Sales and use tax returns
• Completing ad hoc analytical projects and tasks as requested by senior management
• Representative McCoy Construction & Forestry in a professional manner always
• Any other duties as delegated by senior management

• Preferred candidates will possess a 2-year college degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline or equivalent experience
• Previous experience of 1-3 years as an accounting assistant or related experience
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a fast-paced workflow are critical to success in this position
• Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
