Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Cocoa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. In this armed post, you will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and support access control measures.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when possible.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access points and control entry and exit of individuals and/or vehicles as required by site procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed written reports for Allied Universal and client records.
- Communicate promptly with site management and law enforcement when necessary, following established protocols.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and respond to alarms or calls for assistance as directed.
- Remain alert to suspicious activity and/or individuals and take appropriate action according to site guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
